I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student at Brown University. More specifically, I work with Prof. Monica M. Wilhelmus and Prof. Baylor Fox-Kemper on understanding the Arctic Ocean near-surface kinetic energy using the MIT general circulation model (MITgcm) forward run. The overarching goal of my Ph.D. research is to explain the interaction between small-to-large-scale ocean energy variability.
I grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Before starting my PhD., I completed my B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). My undergraduate research was primarily focused on heat transfer, vibration, and sustainable development.
I am always interested in discussing science (particularly, oceanography, astronomy, space, and physics), theology, and technology. To its reflection, I regularly write and post them on my Substack account. You are welcome to subscribe and get a weekly update on my research and findings!
